Ropes & Grey has told Law.com that any job cuts being made on the legislation agency are the results of efficiency evaluations.
Legislation.com contacted Ropes & Grey after seeing “chatter” about affiliate layoffs on the agency on social media websites, resembling Reddit and Fishbowl.
“The quarterly efficiency administration course of is part of the traditional course [of] our enterprise operations,” Ropes & Grey mentioned in an announcement offered to Legislation.com. “We proceed to make use of our similar merits-based analysis course of.”
Kirkland & Ellis also attributed affiliate job cuts to the efficiency evaluation course of in an announcement earlier this month.
