One other BigLaw agency says any affiliate job cuts are as a consequence of efficiency evaluations

Ropes & Grey has told Law.com that any job cuts being made on the legislation agency are the results of efficiency evaluations.
Legislation.com contacted Ropes & Grey after seeing “chatter” about affiliate layoffs on the agency on social media websites, resembling Reddit and Fishbowl.
“The quarterly efficiency administration course of is part of the traditional course [of] our enterprise operations,” Ropes & Grey mentioned in an announcement offered to Legislation.com. “We proceed to make use of our similar merits-based analysis course of.”
Kirkland & Ellis also attributed affiliate job cuts to the efficiency evaluation course of in an announcement earlier this month.
Many companies are reviewing head rely amid slower demand, particularly in company practices, business observers advised Legislation.com. “Aggressive” efficiency reviewed are one possibility utilized by some companies.
